so whats the easiest way to go about shaving the back end of the maxima? I'm new to this stuff :] Also is changing the shifter **** that hard of an ordeal or is it pretty simple, and for you auto fanatics what first mods would you add to a stock 97 maxima se with around 400-500 dollars right now, and what should i be looking to add in the near future with my following paychecks?? if ya could help me out id appreciate that

 

to shave her backside...use some dental floss and run it behind the emblems slowly and they will come right off. then you will need some gum/adhesive remover to get the excess glue off. then you'll have to wash her a few times and eventually the outline will disappear. as far as what mods to get it, it depends on what your going for? show or go? i did suspension first b/c i hated the way it sat up in the front. you can get some springs and struts for ~ $500. good luck w/your max

 

intake and y pipe, dental floss worked for me, i used gasoline to get my glue off and then waxed real well afterwards. you cant see the out line unless you stick your nose against the paint.

 

use a blow dryer to get the glue soft.

good plan, makes it easier, and a heat gun is a bad plan

 

I used a blowdryer to heat up the glue, then just pryed off the burger. Used some glue remover, then a nice wax job and you can never tell...

And for ANY maxima, the first performance mods need to be Y-pipe and intake. And the stock **** isnt hard to remove for us 5sp drivers, not sure for the auto ones...

the auto one is harder to remove, and u need to rewire the button and solenoid...can be tricky if you dont know what ur doing. use some bug and tar remover to get all the glue off, then wash it good, wax it good...and u might still see a faint outline, could take a couple washes, or some time in the sun
