Turbo in my Qx,
Turbo in my Qx,
hi guy's, i am thinking about installing a turbo in my Qx,
i think the PFI kitt is the one i like, anyone here that has try it?
my car have 2.0l v6 24v engine, almost the same engine and the 3.0l so the kit will fit, but what i am wondering about is the compressor. how low do you recomend it? 9.5:1? what is the org compressor? will it lower the comprs.. to port my heads? i dont think thicker gasket is a good thing, i dont want to go change my pistons,
are you outting bigger injectors? how about the injection-computer?.
this may be hard to read i know
i come from a country that we speak a different language

Well Ive never seen the 2.0v6 Engine and its layout. But the PFI kit is specifically made for the 3.0v6. I dont know if the 2.0v6 has a different lower engine block, but Im thinking it is.
The original compression of the 3.0v6 is 10:1 and that is still fine if you wanted to boost upto 10-12psi.
As long as you stay below 12psi boost, you wont need larger injectors. If you want to go above that, then we will need to find larger injectors and most likely the Greddy eManage.

i think the 2.0l v6 is only in europe and asia, i would put injectors from a 3.0l car and fuel pump,
i saw that the pfi kist costs about 4k, is everything included?
yes i come all the way frome iceland

As far as whats included? You have to talk to them to see what the latest price and what is being included, that changes all the time.
You still need to figure out if the lower block on the 2.0l v6 is the same as the 3.0l v6. Because if not the Ypipe that feeds the turbo is not going to fit. Also Im not sure if the throttle body is in the exact same location either. That would cause a problem with the IC piping not fitting either. There are alot of variables that you really need to look at before buying this 4k dollar turbo kit which might not fit and end up being a waste of money except maybe the turbo itself.
Id honestly suggest having a custom shop build one. If you can get it dont locally in your country at somewhere near that price, that do that, much much more easier to deal with in that you know the fitament will work cause they will custom build it and not have to modify parts from a kit.
Lets start there before we talk about injectors and fuel pump. Because if the turbo aint going to fit or no point, then there is no point on the upgraded injectors and fuel pump.
