99 Maxima SE-L Braking problem

Hi,

When I brake(usually little harder) it gives a push just before it comes to stop. It is not the brake pedal(so it is not ABS) the car itself gives a little push. Does anyone here know what the problem could be? I appreciate all your help.

Thanks.

Thanks njmaxseltd for your response. I will post the idle speed 'morrow. Could you please tell me why idle speed would cause this problem?

I too have the 99 SE Limited. It has about 67k miles, and whenver I brake I feel this small push before the car stops completely. Kinda weird..

Good one maximum810;-) Grimey, did you check with your service guys about the problem? I haven't had a chance yet since I just bought this car used. Let me know if you find something. Thanks
