Brakes?

I painted the calipers on my 2003 Maxima and I just read something about pushing the piston back when putting the brakes back on. Does anyone know anything about this. The calipers when right back on with the pads without a problem. Did I mess up or something as now I can hear a lower rumble noise when I apply my brakes from higher speeds. please someone help me!!!! All help would be appreciated!!!!!!

You only have to push the pistons back when you change the brakes. Due to the brake pads being newer (thicker) than the originals (worn down). Since you didn't actually replace your pads, your pistons were in the same place as when you took them off. If you hear a rumbling noise check to make sure everything's tightened correctly. I doubt it has to do with the pistons.

Thanks, Actually taking it to a car repair shope that does free brake checks and have them take a look at it. It only happened after I did the rear brakes. After the front ones I didn't hear anything!!
