muffler Question????

Wus up forums people, have a quick question for you guys. I bought a new performance muffler, eventually will be buying a B-pipe. Anyway, I'm getting it installed on Sunday and I bought the new extension pipes and everything but I want to know if I will need to buy the hangers that you see on the mufflers. I just have the muffler so far, not the full cat-back so I didn't know if I needed the hangers for support. Any info would be appreciated, Thanks.

o alright, thanks. BTW does anybody know if it is possible to take off the stockk muffler by cutting it or would you have to cut weld it off. My friends dad has a shop and he does exhausts and he charges by the hour so i wanted to save some time for them and some money for me buty cutting my muffler off so that all they have to do is weld. Is this wise?

the stock muffler is held on by 2 bolts. chances are is that they will cut off the flange on the stock muffler and weld it to the new one or they might just cut off the flange off the stock b-pipe and weld the muffler to that.

it'll only take them 5 mins to cut it off... plus if they can't fit on your new muffler, you're kind of stuck with a loud-*** car for a few days at the least

a muffler install takes 15-20 minutes. What kind of muffler did you get? Performance mufflers are a myth since they don't add power? Hope it's not a cylinder type...
