My tip for the day: Go fill your tank now!

This is , I know but I just gotta vent.

I've been living in a bubble the last couple of weeks studying for an exam but I finally took it today and passed (yaay). Anyway, after I got back from celebrating, my dad needed a ride to drop his car off at his mechanic's. On the way I noticed that the price of 93 octane was $1.79 ($.10 more than my last fill on Thursday). My dad said that I should get it now (he's ultra-cheap, by the way) so I turn around and get to the pump and guess what? Even though the sign said $1.79, the pump was already at $2.29 for 93 octane.

I settled for 91 octane @ $2.19.

Blackout...yeah right! This is price gouging at it's absolute worst.

Sorry to vent but I just paid more than $17 for 6 gallons of gas and I DON'T live in Cali.

Bala Cynwyd.....not far from the Frankin Mills area which is the site of my obnoxious pump prices. I bet your local gas station is over $2/gallon right about now.

This is total

Looks like everyone is being hurt by the AZ pipeline disaster. At least you guys were able to fill up though. Half of our gas stations are still closed.

It's a good thing you got the 91 octane, that .60 cent savings sure will add up.

It would be a waste of time to get 93 octane in Denver. 91 octane in Denver works the same as 93 in Cali, it all has to do with altitude.

Here in Columbus Ohio, I think we're around 1.97 for 92/93. Was around 1.53 for 89 last weekend. Poor H2 drivers. Anyone seen that Snickers Crunch commerical with the huge SUV? Cracks me up. My brother-in-law has an Escalade, how about $75 per tank? No thanks.

All around me I have 5 foot 5 rednecks with lifted 350's and GMC's on 36 inch swampers , with Fabtech lifts. I used to have a lifted 98 Ranger V6 with a 3 inch Rancho lift, and I was burning 14 mpg. I can only imagine what these guys are spending. I guess thats why you dont see them at the bars or clubs anymore.....

around here 91 is about $2.50...that sucks. What would be the effects or downside of just using 87 octane for a while until prices go down, any harm done by this?

$1.81 for premium in northern Maryland/southern Pennsylvania
they said it was related to blackouts & a broken pipeline in Arizona, and the prices will come down after production gets up to speed (not to mention, while importers take advantage of the high prices, flooding the supply a little)
ah well, I'll deal

Get use to it... cuz we're probably gonna have to live w/ these prices for a while, at least 2 months or so before price start to come down according to the link below. Scroll down a little to "Motor gasoline"... http://www.eia.doe.gov/emeu/steo/pub/contents.html

That may be true, but it all even's out with all the stolen HID's over there... If I lived up there I would retrofit a flamethrower or some type of eletrical shock device to my car alarm and see how a thief likes that...

I'm paying 1.77 a gallon for Chevron 93 octane, and I'm pretty ****ed... It's costing me ALOT more to deliver pizza now than it was say 3 months ago when gas was 1.45 a gallon for 93 octane... In other words if you order pizza for delivery, throw the guy an extra dollar...

lol, whoever wrote that page is an idiot... they have some rather large cars in categories that they definately dont belong in... considering how HUGE a Bentley Continental is, they have it listed as a compact car... that's great... they did that on several other cars on there as well..

This is a little OT, but everytime I see one of those bad boyz, I think back to when I was a fish in high school. There use to be a concreted part in the bayou that people turned in to a 'half-pipe' to skate down. Everyone talked this guy/nerd into going down it in his lil' scooter. Let's just say we didn't see that 'hogg' around much after that. Moron
