Say I wanna change all Interior Speaker Wire in my 5th Gen....How much FEET

Say I wanna change all Interior Speaker Wire in my 5th Gen....How much FEET

of speaker wire do I have to get/buy?

Also what the best size wire gauge to get for interior speaker wires?

well if you wanna run wire just to your radio id say about 8ft per front door and around 10ft per rear door. Or if your running these into the trunk to an amp then 10-15 ft per door would be fine.

these are ruff estimates,

Go with 14 gauge or better

I ran 14 gauge from my amps on the back seats to the cross-overs in the kick panels. 16 from the cross-overs to the tweeters and mids. I ordered 30 feet of 14 gauge and 16 feet of 16 gauge. That was about right. Only had an extra 2 feet or so of each.

If you are only running new wire from the HU to the speakers, then there is no reason whatsover to do bigger than 16 gauge. Even 18 would be fine then. But do 16 in case you ever upgrade to an amplified system. Could save you some trouble of rewiring.
