all 4 sidemarkers wired as blinkers.. video included

I followed the write-up on http://www.max-world.org for my fronts, but it wasnt right for the rears, so i did a little testing and found that you need to tap the green wire, NOT the black one on your rear turn signals. Anyway it looks really nice and it costs less than $10. Check out the video clip here:

Thanks for the info on the wire color. I was about to rewire the rear lights last night, but I didn't have time. That surely saved me an hour or so of scratching my head wondering why the don't work!

It does look good, just two questions like the others posted:
a) Can it be done so the sidemarkers blink together with the turn signals?
b) Are the sidemarkers still one if you don't use the turn signals?

a) When your headlights are OFF, they will blink together. When they are ON, they alternate.

b) Yes

hazards depend on whether or not your headlights are on... same as blinkers.

it's weird how everyone is so involved with this mod when this was done when, like 2 years ago.

i did this the day i bought the car. to me, it's good for the people next to me, tells them i'm about to slam into them.

good job man. yeah, that wrong wire in the rear catches a lot of people. luckily, i had done this on my 3rd gen in the fronts a while back and so understood the whole power, ground, switch wiring diagram so when i saw the rears, i was like "hey, that aint' right"

I just completed this mod yesterday. Thanks for the tip on the rear wire connections. Now here's a rear sidemarker bulb question, do anyone know of a good red 194 bulb that matches the red tail/brake light color. I bought some APC red 194 bulb's that look on the pink side, not a dark red.

If you go to Autozone or Pepboys look for the pack of red bulbs that include the dome lights and door lights as well for some reason the wedge bulbs in that packet are more red than the single pack of wedge bulbs. They actaully look just as red as the factory red side market witha clear bulb from a distance, and they keep their color for about 6 months before they turn pink.
