what the hell.. turbo timer related.

I have the blitz fatt dc2 turbo timer.

I have it wired up with the constant wire to a constant source, the ignition switch wire is split in 2 and tapped to each ignition switch wire, the accessory was left alone, the 2 grounds off the box are grounded to a strong ground and the purple wire off the box is grounded as well (somehow my ebrake wiring harness came off the ebrake and i couldnt figure out how to put it back on and i dont care too much about it).

This seems right, it keeps its settings when the car is turned off and on, but for some reason it turns off with the car.... the timer will hold it's time and countdown, but as soon as i turn the igniton off with the key and take it out, the car shuts off like it normally would and so does the timer.

We had the lower dash apart about 6 times and finally it worked 1 time with the manual setting set (after switching the wires a bunch of times and setting the timer to the setting before starting the car), but as soon as i drove home with everything put back together it didnt turbo time (i changed it to the automatic setting before driving home, and it counted time, but the car just shut off as well as the timer).

jason

i know this is long and drawn out but i wanted to give as much info as possible.

You need to hook up the acc wire.

Isn't there only 1 wire for ignition?

I think the e-brake wire has to either be grounded or connected to the e-brake can't just leave it hanging...maybe thats the prob

he said it is grounded.

where did you get your wiring diagram for your ignition? and why did you not hook up acc?

for your 98, use:
IGN1= white/purple
IGN2= red/yellow
ACC= white/blue

also try just 1 ignition, such as using only white/purple.

i'll rip the dash apart and take a look, maybe even snap a picture. i was told that you need both wires tapped because one of them is for the fuel pump and the only one keeps the car running??

and the reason i didnt hook the acc back up was because i heard it wasn't necessary because it just leaves the ac or stereo on while the car is shut off?

the purple wire is grounded.

I am not sure what both ign wires are for, but I am sure I only used the first one. I also tapped my acc, and all I know is that my car stays running when I turn it off, and I believe i have the same TT as you.

Instead of using instructions, just take a multimeter and find the wires. That's the best way.

Took me a good 5 minutes to find the right wires.
