1st time at track with my 00 Max
Last wednesday, I bought a 2000 SE 5spd and Friday took it to the strip.
Being that the WInston CUp race was in town, it was a good night to get in alot of runs. Out of 13 runs, my best was a 15.20 @ 92.8, and my worst, missing 3rd gear, but quickly getting it back in was 15.49 @ 90. I was very satisfied with this, seing as how my 60's were average at best(varying between 2.37-2.55, was looking for 2.2's), all runs were made without airing down the tires, full tank of gas and spare in trunk. The car was extremely consistent with no apparent performance difference in back to back runs or runs with extensive cool down time. Launches were kind of hard for me. I varied them between A little over 1500 to a bit over 2500. I got either some serious wheel hop, or excssive wheel spin. There also seemed to be no difference between doing a mild burnout, and just chirping them a bit to remove loose rocks. I guess the General Exclaim 215/55/16's aren't the best choice for the drags, but that's what it came with. I believe with a bit cooler weather and a bit less weight, and a 2.2 60' the car could eek out a 14 bone stock.

are you from accordclub forums?
i had a 94 accord sedan h22'd etc...
i also went to the maxima, and i am pleased with the performance these have out of the box. how does your maxima stand up to your hybrid accord? just out of curiosity

You need to launch higher. A 1500-2500rpm launch can result in wheelspin, but it also induces a bog once the tires hook and that's why you're getting 2.3-2.5 60 foots. You need to be launching at 4000-4500rpms, slip the clutch to feel the car rolling, quickly release the clutch as you're feeding it gas, feather the gas to keep from spinning too much. The goal is to keep the rpms above 3000-3500rpms AT ALL TIMES. This isn't like your Z28, you've got to think a lot harder to launch a higher powered FWD car. I went from a 94 Z28 to my Maxima so I can relate.
