GT series turbo application help

Does anyone have any clue what kind of GT series turbo we need. Lets say the motor to turbo distance is very short...

Im looking at a GT30R with a .82 a/r

any comments/thoughts?

Get the smallest a/r.. I have been looking at the GT 30 for about 2 months now.

Even with the standard 3 feet of length, if you use 2 1/2 inch pipe that is mandrel bent and the 2 exhaust pipes come together in a nice "Y" I think it woyuld work well

I would be worried that the turbo would be too small.

You'd better be looking for a spare engine or two also.

You aren't too worried about the spare engine, or you aren't worried about blowing your current engine? At 20, even 15 psi daily, say hasta lluege baby to your current and second and third and etc etc etc engines......

I still think the smallest a/r is a safe bet.. get's you fastwer spooling time and more power under the curve.

HOWEVER, I am not sure of what exactly your doing, so it may be in you best best to talk to garrett about it.

Also, I have not looked at the 30's rating, for 20 PSI ... how does that look on the compressor MAP?
