Installed JIC FLT-A2's over the weekend. Discovered that my front passenger side tire is rubbing inner wheelwell. Driver's side is fine.

Haven't done alignment yet.

I'll have the car put on lift this afternoon to check again, but it shouldn't rub. I have 2 finger wheelgap up front. I'm running 17x7.5 wheels with 40mm offset, 10mm spacers in order to clear big brakes.

Is the camber setting that off (esp. passenger side)??
Any advice is much appreciated...

Ride couldn't be any better. Shouldn't have even bothered to play with lowering springs and went straight to coilovers in the first place!

 

For only a low price of $403530495834095834 more than a good lowering spring/strut setup, JIC's should be the best ride quality/drop around to justify the price... I have a 2 finger wheelgap up front and mine don't rub at all? I'm running 18X7.5 wheels with 47mm offset too, so i don't think yours should rub... In fact, your wheels are ~17mm farther out than mine and the same width so it's surprising that yours are rubbing...

You are effectively running a 30mm offset... It'll rub slightly with 235's

Chung- what tires would I need to go with when I up the wheels to 18x8.5? 235/40 ? -AnGe

235/40's would be flush (mine were on my Lowenharts) with the rim. As long as you don't use them for curb feelers it works. I switched to 245s later but am now running with 8" wide Superleggeras.

edit *** It really depends on offset... 235's with 30mm offset is like 245's with 35mm offset (like me)... and it only rubs on deep dips because I have the EXTRA travel with the MOTIVATIONAL modified Konis and upper mounts. It didn't rub without them cuz the struts use to bottom out.

 

Congratulations AnGe, you've now had more suspension combinations in your car then I've had.

I think we need some Mud Slides to celebrate.
