What Modifications do I need to make Indiglow gauges fit a 98 Se

Hey guys,

I just ordered my aluminum dash kit, bezel, and chrome gauge rings. I wanted to finish up the interior with an indiglow gauge. I would love to get the reverse EL version but I have read and searched and i'm not quite sure where to get them. I don't know how to make them fit. I know that the 98 Se gauges are different from the GXE and GLE's. Any advise or info would be greatly appreciated.

Me and my uncle put them in mine. The ones i had bought were off of EBAY. Luckily the screws around the needle were fine. The only problem I had was with the needle stopper. I just moved it on the factory gauges to fit the new gauges instead of cutting a hole in the new ones.
This required me to take off (VERY CAREFULLY!!) the needle and taking off the old gauge face...and unscrewing the stopper. We cut the hole in the old face and rescrewed it in. It was tricky, and we went through one gauge cluster getting it perfect, but looking at it now it was well worth it.

I had help with my uncle who works at a custom shop and had some experience with putting these in.

On my previous 98 SE(RIP) I had a set of Matrix Indiglos that a local shop installed and came out looking great. I can ask them the exact specifics if need be of how they did it or if they even needed to be modified.

Hope it helps.
