Fuel Pump Fuse Keeps Blowing!

I have a 92 gxe. The fuel pump fuse blew Friday. I replaced it. Used the car today and then it blew again. Has anyone ever had this problem and if so possible solutions? I have not had anyone touch the fuel pump recently, or the wiring for that matter.

Thanks

You probably need a new pump.

Open your trunk.
Pull the trunk cover that is below where you would change bulbs for your taillights. Driver's side, follow the wires towards passgenger side.
There are two relays, red and green. Replace both and you will be fine.

Your fuel pump is fine.

Had the same problem on my 91 SE.
Replaced the pump w/ aftermarket Airtex unit, kept blowing fuse. Bit the bullet and got OEM. Still blowing fuses. Realized there were two relays for fuel safety cut off. Couldn't find the relays at first, but I found them finally and replaced both and no more popping.

Good Luck.
