Gotta love the NJ Turnpike races
Once again I visited Westfield, this time for a wedding. Got to pass through Plainfield too, which a few of you are from. Last time I visited, I raced an NSX, A6, 4th Gen Max and one other car.
This time up, I only had one race..a porsche 911 carerra (non turbo). Wasn't more than a few years old. We were crusing between 70-80, hanging around traffic for a while and we finally cleared. I moved to the right so he could pass, never thinking about racing him. He toyed with me for a minute and my wife said "you can't race a porsche, it's too fast". Well, being a non-turbo I said what the hell. He was about two cars ahead crusing at 80 when he punched it. Off went the air and I too set on a crusade to catch him. Well, from 80 to 125 he only gained a car on me. We settled at 100 and he wanted to go again but I wasn't up for it. Yes, I lost but it was respectable. I think my wife was supprised. Then I told her if it were a turbo he would have been in the next state before I hit 100. It made my trip home.
