Help I hear a weird noise.

i have been using 87 octane gas.. and now my car sounds like valves are clapping at around 2000 rpm... anyone ever had that. i started using higher octane, but i do not notice any real change.

Don't use the cheap ****...

Dunno what kind of noise you're describing...can you record it and post the sound here? If you can't host, e-mail it to me, I'll host and link for you...

I have a 2K2 with about 19,000 miles on it and I hear the same clattering noise around 2,000 RPM's. I use 93 or 94 Octane gas ALL the time and I still hear this noise.
