Hey , i am not bashing the WRX.(read on)

From my race yesterday , some of you think it is made up. Well it is not, yes i hit 130 and put 6+ cars on him, but at that time that i hit that speed we were not in traffic the first go around. We came upon traffic much further down the road. We were on a highway and at 6.am in the morning on this perticular stretch of highway, it gets congested, then breaks after the construction.

I am not hating on the WRX at all. There cool cars that are way overrated, thats all. It seems like people are terrified to race those cars.Yes , they will rip you a new one out the hole , but during rolls, or highway racing there a joke. (stock WRX) The Sti , when it comes out will be a something else, like the Evo. Even still , i am still going to race one just to see what it can do, or what my car can do. But like anything , modify it "right", and it will become faster.

Also for the person that asked me wether i drive a auto or stick i drive an auto. Just didn't see the reason to buy a stick for a 4-door car. I owned 3 Z before my max(80280Z, 86 turboZ , 94 TT) all stick. I didn't feel like rowing gears on a sedan. Also i am not married , but the reason why i love the Max so much, because it reminds me of my Z's with 2 extra seats and 2 extra doors. Plus its the only Japanese sedan with some ***** under the hood, besides the TL-S.Which is a nice car in its own rights, but the exterior styling is so vanilla.

I am no rookie at racing, or some newbie. At 28 , i had my full share of participating in SCCA events, spec racing, illigeal racing, and helping in the pits with a good friend , running his formula Ford open wheel race car. What a blast to drive!

My only gripe about the Maxima is that i wish its top end was like my TTZ. After 130ish the Max starts to lose steam. The Z pulls strong all the way to 155. But then again the Max is a sports sedan and the Z is a solid sports car. I know Apples to oranges.

Well thats all folks, later and happy motoring.

I second that. When that turbo hits, hold on for the ride of your life

I took a few people for rides at my work, including another WRX owner, and all they can come back saying is HOLY **** !!

Agreed - I ran against a 300ZX TT at the track, and low end was quite similar. However, by the 1/8 mile or so, his top end was just so much better. Granted, its a more powerful car as well, but the 3.5 seems to lack something in the upper RPMs. Maybe the upcoming ECU upgrade will fix that... if so, I might hafta fork out some $

I must say our maxes are by no means "sport sedans" but then again we attempt "transforming" our
cars in to sports sedans by modding
we just have ballz - linear performance -boat
so these comparisons to real sports cars get ****tier by the day-
yeah we can keep up or beat 95% of cars out there
on a straightaway from 0~100 mph - but in reality
whos safer doin it on the street? food for thought-

no wonder we have so many brake judder/ tranny prob/ on cars that are a few years old- PUSHING
the limit with our family cars- Hey i'm guilty also!

I can vouge for that...

I wouldn't say i abuse my car, but i am definitely hard on her. In reality that is why i don't complain much because i know 95% of the time ,if something breaks or prematurley wears , it is my fault, not the manufacture. The CD player on the other hand, going out just outside of my warranty is unacceptable, and is totally the manufacture fault.

Like my pops say, play hard , pay hard!
