Kinda Funny thread from SRT Forum

http://www.srtforums.com/forums/show...287#post220287

Some dad is looking for a maxima forum for his son who has a maxima. Dad is laughing at his son because he thinks he's srt will kill his son's maxima or something. He might but I'm not sure what year his son's maxima is and the mods.

Ask me how many SRT-4's Ive seen driving around in my neck of the woods since they have been available to the public - 2 ! That's it...

They're really flying out of the dealer showrooms, at a Mercury Marauder pace.

They should do low 14's, high 90's 1/4 mile. They are grossly underrated by Chrysler, they are putting out 220+ hp 240+ lb ft to the wheels.

All of the car enthusiasts I know still regard as "just another Neon", or " you're still driving home a Neon".

For under $20K, not bad. Oh, and their oem parts upgrade and supports by PVO is awesome.

HAHAHA You are one of the people my TurboDodge friends laugh at!
The SRT-4 was rated a 215hp from the factory but actually has 235whp.
Stage 1 mod from Chrysler which costs $500 : 250whp 260wtq.

Its amazing how much power you can get a from a vehicle with a stock turbo.

I totally agree. I hate the way neons look; fugly. But as you said $ wise they are one of the best bangs for your buck. Maximas are much nicer looking vehicles. Too bad they don't offer a SC version from factory with like 300hp and 340tq. That would be freaking awesome. With a pulley here, chip there, we could be running 325whp.

since we are discussing dream scenarios that nissan will never follow through with (darn !) I will cast my vote for a maxima with the Q45 V8 engine - 340 hp. Can we say limitations of a fwd platform ?!

340 hp + 6spd = Brutal Maxima

then you could mod it if you wanted to.

Yes the new SRT-4 is fast, and it's underrated. However, I wouldn't be bragging if I was an old man driving a fugly NEON!
