Anyone know of a place that rents out torque wrenches?

I don't really want to spend $20 on a torque wrench just so I can put my FSTB on and never use the wrench again. So is there any place that will lend me one, or let me borrow one for like 15 minutes for a small charge, or no charge at all? Or will I need a torque wrench for other applications where a normal wrench will not cut it? Thanks.

Its worth the $20 just to have one, cheepies are fine! I use mine to torq my rims as well as when I installed my fstb.

I guess a 20 dollar torque wrench is fine for doing your wheels, But I would never trust a 20 dollar wrench on any internal engine bolts or studs.

I wouldn't trust a rental. They can be easily damaged if not properly cared for.

If all you are doing is removing the 3 nuts that secure the upper sturt insulator to the car, there is really no need for a torque wrench. Just use the German torque method, Gutentight, but don't over do it.

I use the torque wrench all the times, wheel nuts, oil plug, ATF oil plug, brake bolts, spark lugs, etc. You probably want something more substantial than the $20 wrench, though.

i agree, you definitely dont need a torque wrench for the fstb install....if you continue to do anything to your ride, you might want to invest in one anyway, and also agreed, dont get a $20 one....spend now, save later
