Shifting at the Track???

Hey guys...

I was wondering, do you guys shift at 5500 RPM or are there special shift points on the 6 speed?

What PRM do you launch at?

I'm just taking a guess here, but I'd imagine the 6-speed wouldn't matter--you should shift at the horsepower peak RPM (6400 I think? it's 6400 on the VQ30DE-K), to ensure you're getting the most out of the engine... but probably no further than that... unless the closer ratios of the 6-speed change the strategy somehow

I have never raced my Max, but when I had my SE-R I would rev to 2500 to 3K RPM then launch. On the max I would go from 1'st to 2nd I would take it up to 6500 from second to 3rd I would do the same, but when in 3rd definately take it to redline since this is where there is a 1:1 ration from the crank to the tranny.
