EGR Removal

I am going to remove my EGR valve from my VG30DE engine due to a sensor reading related to a problem with the valve - plan to remove and clean before replacing. The problem does not appear to be related to the gas cap. My question is regarding the things that are attached to the valve (vacuum hoses, exhaust pipe from EGR, etc.). After I get to the valve what else do I need to remove and/or loosen before taking the two bolts/nuts off that hold the EGR valve. Any advice will be helpful!
