speed limiter?
yes and no
if you can reprogram the ecu , then yes...
unfortunately I do not know how to...
the other options:
1. get the factory package that gives you the H rated tires
dunno the name...security and convinience or something and have them reprogram it.
2. get a JWT ecu if your car is a 95-96? might be wrong on the year
3. buy an SE ecu that is for the same build as your car (year, transmission, brake system)
good luck on your quest

You either have to get an aftermarket ECU or get the same year as your max with the Comfort and Convenience ECU. I have looked into this extensively and have found that your only option. I've even tried to bypass the signal to the ECU telling it to turn on the speed limiter, but it is connected to the charging circuit and it will make your alternator not work. For some reason, the ECU gets the signal from the speedo, telling it to turn on the govenor. I know this because I have disconnected to wire from the Speedometer and the govenor was taken off, however, the gauges don't work and the next day my car died, and it was because the alternator wasn't charging. I rehooked the wire, and now after a jump, my car ran fine and still is. the other option is to hook it up to a kill switch in the dash, but if you do this, your gauges don't work when you disconnect the govenor. Best bet is to go and buy a new ECU.
