GReddy SP2

I heard something about this in the 4th gen forums but i didn't see anything about it coming out for our cars. Supposivley its going to be full stainless steel and sell for the same price as the original SP. I wanted an SP in the worst way and was sent the wrong year so I had to settle for a stock replacement but if they come out with one I will buy one first thing in the spring.

Has anyone heard anything?

just got off the phone w/ Greddy.
they do not plan to make the SP2.
in order for them to make it they will need 25 PAID orders and they said they sold about 1 3rd gen exhaust this year.
you do the math.

Wow. Perhaps they should reconsider the price they are charging for them.

Its a shame they are not a smaller company like WSP that can just make one at a time. I mean they have all the deminsions and such all they would have to do is bend it and send it out the door. I completely understand their reasoning though. They dont make it as you go but they make a big batch and then sell them.

you know how long it took to get a 3rd gen gauge pod GD together. that was something that's under $60 bucks.

i wonder how long would it take for people to scrape up $500 (general guess) for a cat back exhaust.
i would be collecting social security by then.

Isn't that the truth!! Man, a GD for a exhaust!! That'd take a century to complete!! lol

What idiot put that together

It is so true, why make a product if only a hand full of people are willing to buy? Makes no sense for greddy. If they got rid of all the 3rd gen max stuff they make there profits will probably go up since they can get rid of all the inventory!

Well, I just think nobody wanted to spend the $60.00. Now if you put a GD together for the turbo that everyone wants, I'm more than positive that you could get say 15 - 20 people to pay in full the $3000 price tag in no less than 1 day.

1 day...more like 1 decade and even by then only one person will have paid half the necessary amount

that reasoning by greddy is completely right, there is no point in making an exhaust to sell 1 per year. Guess I'll have to look at another setup

Hey I've got an idea that might help. I'm an assistant manager at a Bank here in Tulsa, I might be able to see if we can get together some type of payment plan for the Turbo project. Now if we spread this $3000 out over 360 months (Basicly a 30 year loan; like a mortgage) the payments would be $8.33. Now this of course is without intrest so it could be $2 - $5 more a month. Do you think anyone would antie up!
