Cadmium coating on rotors??

Anyone out there had any experience with cadmium coated rotors? Is it just a gimmick, or does it actually keep the rotors looking new (i.e. no rust?). Speaking of rotors, has anyone had experience with Magnum Performance Rotors? I'm looking at this brand in a cross drilled rotor.

Thanks

its only good for the center of the rotor (the part the pad doesnt rub on)

It will wear off of the surface of the rotor where the pad makes contact.

yup.. it'll keep the rotor looking pretty for a while. I've still had mine rust and stuff, but it took a couple years instead of days like the uncoated rotors.
