Firewall Troubles >> Urgent

PLEASE HELP ME ! I have 2 Kicker Comp VR's that are just sitting in my dynomat'd trunk because I can't find a hole in my firewall ! I am willing to drill through it but I don't know where any of the "soft spots" are and am afraid of damaging something. I know a lot of you have subs, please, just where did you route your power cable ? THANK YOU !

Where is your amp mounted?
in the trunk?
in the passenger compartment?
actually either way you can run the power through the fender into the door jamb and under the sill plate. to wherever you need to go.
Just sleeve the wire when you go through the fender.

another thing you can do is run it through the gromet in the door where the wires go to the door, that is what I did

try using the search function. I've posted this info hundreds of times in this forum and the car audio forum.

do yourself a favor and drill a hole in the firewall. dont need to burn up ur car or crimp a expensive power cable. the best place in your car i think might be towards the top on the drivers side. i worked on one max and i was able to get just behind or to the right of the clutch. on mine(1990 se) i had to put the Holes next to the slave cylinder for the clutch(real tight spot) but i was able to run 2, 0 gauge cables. i help run a sterio shop and i am almost always able to drill all the holes for the power wires on the drivers side under the dash. but on maxima, always even on the 2004's

oh yea never forget the plastic grommet = $0.20

if you look a little closer you'll realize you can go under the fender well and save ANY visible holes. again, search for it. I've posted pics and lots of info on it.

pull the inner wheelwell, and follow the line that has the hood release cable in it. I've run both 8 and 4 gauge wires threw that hole, keeping the gromet intact.
