Why do we have...

2 horn? Can anyone explain why our cars have two horns? I'm getting ready to put in my air horns...and see that we have two.

The time it took to write this post, you could have disconnected one and found out.

There is a separate horn for the alarm. Are you refering to a second horn that's not the alarm horn?

Jeffy,

I did disconnect one...and the other worked fine...smarty! I didn't think it had anything to do with the stock alarm...maybe I'm wrong...

techie,

which one is the alarm horn, the one on th passenger side of the engine bay? or the one near the grill...they both work for me...well to a degree!

When you install your air horns, move the one on the passenger side to beside the front one (there is an extra connector there). Then mount your air horns on the passenger side where the other one was, using it's wire as the signal (to the air horn relay) for the air horns. This way, all 3 will sound when you honk your horn or your alarm goes off.
I explained it in further detail in an old post. You could search for air horn and my username.
