Only a few feet from my front door....

They took the alpine monitor and alpine eq, which is no good to them because I have both brain boxes in my closet.
They also took the Field A/F contoller. This one angers me the most because this means all that money and time dyno tuning is out the broken window. Also the bastards didn't cut the wiring, they ripped it out of the ecu. I had to play the match game to get the car to run. They grabbed the wheel lock key so I think they are going to try again for the rims...I hope so.
Well insurance will take care of the window and interior, but the electronics I'm not sure of yet. I'll find out tomorrow.

A little extreme, eh?

Sorry to hear about your loss. Hopefully everything will work out...and maybe you'll catch them going for your wheels.

Put some kind of camera towards the car and leave it there again. I am sure they will try for the rims now. Sucks bro. I hope everything works out okay with the insurance company.

Man...sorry to hear and see the pics. Did the stock alarm not even sound...it should have with the opening of the door from the inside...change the locks on the rims quick! and probably get an aftermarket alarm

Its like finding out the girlfriend has been cheating on you. You just want instant revenge and nothing is too severe. I've calmed down now that I found out that the insurance will cover all the stereo equipment and they are going to replace the dash, window, window trim, all console pieces and rear bench seat.

Just had the factory alarm. They probably climbed through the window. I didn't hear a thing.
I put a new set of wheel locks on, but I'm going to have to break the first set off.
Thanks everyone for the responses.

Oh and I live in a gated community and last night someone broke the lock on the service entrance. Looks like they are aiming to start taking cars out now.

step 1...buy another set of wheel locks...even if you have the old set on there...put on another set. any wheel shop have sockets to yank your old locks off..so don't worry about that.

2...get car fixed.

3...get an aftermarket alarm w/ shock sensor.

At least it wasn't stolen from your garage. My next door neighbor's sons, and their friends, robbed my garage a few weeks ago. Worst thing is I have no proof...

I swear if i ever catch someone in the process of trying to steal my sh*t, i'm going to jail, and thats my word!!! Iron Lung, best of luck man, do u have an aftermarket alarm? if not i 110% recommend it, ever since i got my viper alarm, no one has even touched my car...*knocks on wood*

That sucks man...Glad to hear insurance is going to cover it all. They covered all of my issues with my 3rd gen that got broken into and all the stereo stuff stolen. Comprehesive rules!!

Alot of you guys are getting extreme ....I hate seeing it also and going to your car in the morning and not having a window and all your **** stolen is the worst feeling in the world but thats part of why you get full coverage on the car especially if you have a lot of nice stuff in it. I really doubt your going to start staying up all night and watching your car fully armed just waiting. but to each his own if you do decide to do it.

Damn that sucks to see that...

But that's another reason why stock alarm sucks.. If anything, keep the stock alarm but throw on a shock sensor...

welcome to the club, my car was broke in the same way, and my dash look exactly the same. Luckily, I did not have to replace the factory harness, so I could save a few dollars from my claim. The *****y part was that the ins. co refused to pay for aftermarket headunit that was stolen, nor reimburse the cost of a brand-new factory unit...they only agreed to pay the cost of the factory unit from the junkyard ($150).

Things like that are why my old complex had a clause in the lease that said you should not infer any promise of security from the presence of a guard and gate. See if yours forgot to put that in there... good luck man.

You could always sleep in the back seat of the car with your hands wrapped around the cold steel of a .44 magnum.

The look on the face of the theives with the barrel of a gun pointed down there throats
