Hearing Squeaking...Spring or Shock?

Coming from the left front wheel, I'm hearing a noticeable squeking from the time i get in the car in the morning ongoing through the middle of the day after driving a few miles. Now maybe I'm getting too big to drive it, or I've got a worn spring or shock...

Which is it, and what kind of $$$ are talking to replace either? I can't do it myself...don't have enough space for a repair like that.

I have the same thing, I noticed that the single bolt in the middle of the strut tower wasnt properly centered. This only meant that the rubber around it is wasted so I gotta take the strut out, compress the springs and replace this. Luckily I got a set of old struts with a good strut mount, I heard they are about $40 each new. If you want to do this yourself, its pretty easy provided you give the springs to a shop to compress and open, this should only cost u about $10.
good luck.
