That's one fast Silverado! And what's up with the 300ZXTT? 13.9? I thought they were faster than that?

hey cumalot ..if the guy was any faster he would have picked up and landed down over at the New Orleans airport ... i brought the guy down from my town. the silverado was a grudge match i got into on another board ..lesson: dont mess with full time bracket racers .. i just couldnt beat this guy !

regarding kills: i got some last night .. the chariot is now challenging some faster cars but not quite there .. and in the videos I only beat the acura.

Which magnaflow do you have. I talked to them and they recommended we use the 18"canistor length..versus the 14" it provide a little more sound dampening. The 14827 and 14829 have 14" canistor lengths. Also are you running a resonator?

muffler sound issues, problems, who let out the bees ?

the magnaflow muffler i have is a 5x8 street series, at least i thought, we took it off one day trying on 2 different ones and the exhaust pro said it was a racing series. its about 14 inchs long. we put on a magnaflow street series and it sound the same for the most part. We also tried out the dynomax super turbo and didnt like that one and at WOT it was equally as nasty. Didnt like how the super turbo didnt have a center outlet which was going to make fitment more difficult.

i have the test pipe with resonator and warpspeeds b pipe with resonator. maybe there is no taming a nasty vq engine/exhaust sound ?

Hmm just as a side note...even though your test pipe is resonated it will add a good bit of raspiness to the exhuast note. Perhaps put your stock cat back on, see if that helps a little but. Yeah the 18" canistor lenght should help go talk to the exhuast pro and see if he has any. You'll have to get the magnaflow universals withought the tips to get that setup though. If you go to magnaflow.com listen to the gti...its running a magnaflow resonator..and a muffler with an 18"canistor.

Sounds like somebody needs new rubber in that race with the RSX-S... Who was sitting there smoking tires at the start? Either way, your car is fast and that track looks like it helps pretty nicely as there seems to be quite a bit of traction... What kind/size of rubbers are you running?

How much are they charging for shipping? Sparco sprints are $219 a piece, plus like 65 each for the brackets. That's like $550. Sparco Speeds are $259, so $630 for those, with brackets, before shipping.

Corbeau- Forza $220 each, Forza II $250 each, Clubman $210 each.

Have you ever considered a 5th gen muffler? I'm sure it would cut down on the raspiness, and you would still get a small gain over the 4th gen stock muffler. I hear it also sounds pretty good.

I would really like to hear what a y pipe, test pipe, resonated b pipe, and 5th gen muffler would sound like. I bet nice.....

Haven't seen the videos yet, but will in a minute.

Anyways, regarding the exhaust sound, I heard Cattmans' ride on Saturday(his wife was driving) and between the headers and his new catback, it sounded MEAN. It was a low rumble and not too agressive at least for the 0-50mph and couple start/stops I heard it. No WOT though.

Last time I drove his car with his y-pipe and some fart canister, it was LOUD and ricey IMO. I like the new setup a lot better.
