Can't get HIDS to work !!! ahh

Ive called freddie like 10 times...fiddled with it don't know what it is. He my story there hanabi 8000k...they work i tried them on battery. But after i install the lights into headlight socket plug all the clips in there is 2 wired left that go either into blue thing that comes with kit or right into oem harness. I used that screwdiver with a light to find the positive red one, that all good. Then i tried to find negative but it doesnt light up. Ihave no clue where the two wires go ive tried it all nothing makes them work...i dont know why im making it so hard. Any ideas at all..i think im just gonna go to a stereo place tomorrow...thanks

Might seem stupid but I thought the negative wire won't light up a tester?!

Pics would help out a whole lot...but basically what you need to do is connect the ballast to the bulb then connect the other wires to the stock harness inorder to get the lights to turn on. I dont have that kit, but I have installed them before. IF you can post I pic I can probably tell you what wire goes where.

If I'm understanding you correctly, you have 2 wires left, one black, one red. If they are the same wires I'm thinking they are, they would go into the OEM harness, black goes into the negative terminal and the red wire into the positive terminal which is the low-beam terminal, sorry I can't remember out of the three terminals which ones go in which. Anyway, I hope your Hanabi kit lasts pretty long. I hear they tend to have a lot of problems down the road. Hella ballasts are much higher quality and last super-duper long. Check out www.misterjung.com about getting a Hella kit if you decide to make the switch later.

Hey man..the negative wire will NOT light up! only the one with power (positive) would. In all actuality, all you need to do is ground the negative wire and hook the red (positive) wire up to the one that lit up! good luck!

I knew it man. . . I was just reading it and wanted to see if anyone told you to check the fuse and then I see your last post. . .I had the same problem when I was playing with mine but I actually heard it pop and I knew right away that it was the fuse.

for those that are looking for a neg wire and are using a test light, the neg will light up.

your car has 3 wires, only 1 is neg.

clip the test light to the power of the battery, now touch ea wire with the test light until it lights up.

DONE
