How does that HID kit install? Is it glued into place? Or is there an adapter that makes the D2R fit into the mouting pad keying of the H4 bulb?

Is there an internal shield for the stock JDM H4 headlamp...mounted to the inside of the reflector I mean?

Could you please e-mail if you get the chance? I'd like to ask you some more questions on how you obtained the JDM headlamps. Thanks...

I installed the lights with out glue. On the Cefiro lights there are 2 screws {that hold the internal shield} that I made work with my sylvania bulbs. I had do put groves into the sides of my bulbs for the screws to bight down on.Then I used the oem water guards that came with the Cefiro lights. You can drop me a email any time Albert at emax1995@yahoo.com and I will try to help you out. BTW the glare is far less then it was in my Maxima headlights.

Hey Emax,

Don't you have the First Gen Sylvania D2S bulbs? That bulb is HUGE compared to the Philips 1st to 3rd Gen D2x bulbs. Anyway, I've got my Cefiro lights also and am going with a Bellof Kit to retain hi beams. How's the beam pattern on your D2S anyways? I couldn't bare with it the last time I had it in

What can I say, I am gooood haha. No really,if you take out the black thing and then remove the H4 bulb there is a huge hole for a light bulb. As for the beam pattern lets just say it does not shoot up in your eyes at all, like it did on my max. BTW I found out in The Nissan Cefiro Supreme{the highest model, that might not be it's name though} it has HID's in it and uses the same 1 piece Cefiro Headlight as us,infact it also has Hid's in its fogs too, like me. I'm trying to get the grill from that car for my I30. I also found out the I30 grill is from the cheaper versions of the Cefiros.

I think the highest Cefiro is called the "Elite Edition." Are you sure the optical housing is the same for halogen and HIDs? If that is the case then the output will be the same, no better. The 2K I30's here have different housings for halogen and HID. Then again my friends ML430 has HID retrofits in his halogen housing and the output is just like OEM, awesome. Optics!! Anyway, which grill are you going with? I ended up with the one on the Elite Edition, you know the one...
Drop me an email.
