Went to Union Grove tonight to run my 02 Maxima Se Auto
It was 46 degrees, the track was slippery, as usual in cool weather.
Got in the Miller Lite side (left), in the Dynomax side (right) pulled an older model 215 hp Mustang GT stick with udp, flows, short-throw. I brake torqued to 2000 rpms, which in retrospect was a bad idea since it was so slippery, let off the brakes on second amber, and smashed the fun pedal. Below are results:
02 Nissan Maxima Auto (stock) on new Sumitomo HTR+'s
R/T .477 1.081
60ft 2.209 2.217
1/8 9.634 9.735
mph 72.77 72.24
1/4 15.030 15.112
mph 91.24 91.63
I was a little premature -dont you hate that ??? - and spun until I hooked at about 20 mph, managed to pull the Mustang GT out of the hole by 3 car lengths. I went a tad early -.500 perfect green - and he fell asleep. I crossed the finish line with a 2.5 car length lead. Pretty good feeling taking out a rwd v8 muscle car.
Then the rains came, and they booted us out, told us to hold on the receipt and we could get in at any later date for free. I will go back in two or three weeks.
I know with more practice on the launch and rpm on brake torque, I would have done a 14.8x and at very least a 14.9x. I was running with 1/4 tank of gas, had no time to fiddle with tire pressure, full weight, had spare and jack, etc. I have tons of crap littered on inside of car, which sucked, because now I can mull over how I could have had a 14 if....
Im not exactly a slender guy - 5'11" 285lbs, so the car definitely is running decent. Im still gonna have some gen maintenance done and will be getting the cattman ypipe as my first mod, in order to bump up the trap speed. Traction should be no problem with the Sumitomo HTR+, these are superior over the Potenza's.
Im liking my Max even more know. My low dyno numbers 175 whp and 195 wtq were bothering me, but considering they allowed me virtually no cool down time, and considering I had just come in from a 30 mile trip averaging 80-85mph, the engine naturally wanted no part being taken up to 125 mph in third gear for the dyno runs... Had the engine been nice and cool, it would have pulled a normal 185 205 respectively, I just know it. I looked at my buddy's stock Z06 pulls, and on his second run after he dynoed 363rwhp, his number went down to 353rwhp. They take Z06's to 145 in fourth gear, btw.

Other cars at Union Grove tonight -
- dark color SRT4 Neon, ran 13.6 at 105, exhaust, higher boost
- wrblue STI which got demolished by the above SRT4. The guy bogged like crazy at launch, ran a 15.2 at 92. Let me at those STI's !
-99 C5, heads and cam, intake, headers, exhaust, no spray, auto running 11.9's at 118 on drag radials.
-dark color honda civic with wing, fart pipe, wheels ran 17.xx at low 80's.
Thanks for reading.

A 2.20 60' is pretty freaking good for a FWD car. A 15.0@91mph is good and I think you'll definately get into the 14s with a few mods like a reworked airbox, UDP, B-pipe, and y-pipe. I wouldn't be surprised if you could hit some 14.6-14.7s@93-94mph.
As for beating the Stang, isn't it fun? I've managed to beat older Fox body 5.0s, 96-98 4.6 SOHC GTs, 99+ GTs, 99 Cobra. When I line up against a Stang, I've got about a 50% chance of winning according to all my timeslips. I have two friends with 01 and 02 5 speed GTs. They both have intake, gear, and exhaust work. They're both getting ~14.0-14.1@100-101mph with 2.1 60 foots on street tires. I'm almost there with them. From a roll, it's very close.

for a slick track, those 60 foot times are excellent... i had a sticky track and I could barely get 2.2 flat. once. unload some weight from the car and you'll be well into the 14s. nice job beatin the stang! I've done that a few times too... feels wonderful
I can't wait till I get some mods in my 00 se auto, I know a certain person with a 94 mustang gt convertible who thinks he has the fastest car in the world... (whose only mods are straight pipes and altezza lights lol), who I would love to put to shame
94 was the last year of the 5.0, correct? those engines seem to have a lot more potential than the 4.6 that replaced it. Still, in stock form, they arent much, especially when they carry around the convertible top. I wouldnt brag too much with the 2000 auto Max tho - thats tight competition for a Mustang
man that sti driver was pathetic. i ran my buddies wrx and he ran about that time and hes a terrible driver. i have numerious videos of me whooping his *** at the track too. ha ha and he was talking all that smack about my family sedan.
