Went to track with 2000 auto

Ran a little slower than I thought. It was about 40 out. The mods I have are Stillen intake and y-pipe, RT high flow cat, Greddy cat back.
First run way too much spin got 16.5, second 15.6 @89mph, third 15.5@90. Still had spare tire and jack in trunk. Thought I could pull off a 15.2 but no. I should have tried the drop resistor mod.

Yes I beat a 93-95 honda civic when I ran the 15.5 run he had a 16.2.That was my best part of the day. My first run was up against a Dodge neon SRT-4 he ran a 14.5.

Drop resistor should help your quarter times slightly. With the right mods, a 2k auto can get into the 14s.

Hey, it is just a resistor you need to unplug, on my 2k1 it is located just in front of the left shock tower.

Not too bad. What wheels were on your car? The 17's or the lighter 16's? Also, were you manually shifting at redline or did you just leave it in D?

I have a picture that explains it on either page 8 or page 9 of my homepage.

I hate to say this but you should be running much faster than that with your mods. Do you have a slip to look at so we can see your 60'? I've run 15.62 in my then stock GXE in 45 degree weather and I know you should be running faster just because the the times I've run against 2K autos.

Did you do any weight reduction?

If he has those heavy 17's, 15.6 might be about right.

I had the factory 16's on. But because of alot of spin I had to launch a little soft out of the hole. I think If I could have had at least 2 more runs I would have run a little better.

The funny thing with my 60' times are with the 15.6 run I had a 2.8 60' time. Then when I ran the 15.51 run I had a 2.40 60' time. I would think that taking 4 tenths off my 60' time would knock off more than 1 tenth in my 1/4 time rite. No weight reduction.
Best Run of the day.
