wiring harness

i have a 91 maxima with gray cloth and purchased a set of black leather with power however i do not have the wiring harness for the power feature under the carpet. what options do i have.. i do not want to tap of the wiring ahrness that exist beacuse it is for the set belt. please help. i was alos thinking of rnning a positive wire from the back of the fuse box and then a ground to the chassis, or just swapping the leather seats to the manual track from the cloth seats. any suggestions?

I'd highly suggest trying to swap the tracks. That way you don't have to worry about extra wires to hide and go bad.
Just my OP

you really should have a wire harness somewhere under there that will plug right in
I'm pretty sure that all 3rd gens were prewired for power seats so even if you didn't get that option in your car, the wiring is there. Take a look around just under the carpet where the seat is and hopefully you can find the 2 wire harness. Otherwise, yeah, you could just run a power and ground wire to it really easily

if not just run a wire. 10-12 gauge with a fuse, gound is to the frame. pretty simple stuff for the added luxury

It shows in the FSM that there's a harness stuffed under the seat, around the front bolt rail if the seats aren't power.... BUT.. when I put power 300ZX seats in my old GXE, I couldn't find the wire either. it wasn't there. I pulled up the entire carpet looking for it, and it simply didn't exist.

What I did was tap into the rear defrost fuse in the panel, since it's a 20 or 30A fuse... you shouldn't ever need to use both the power seat and the rear defrost at the same time, so it's pretty safe to piggyback off it and not worry about it.
