anyone had experience with JDM front strut tower bar?

Hi,

Has anyone ever had any experience with the JDM front strut tower bar? I'm shopping for a front strut bar and the JDM is the least expensive so far. I'm not sure of the quality though so I though I'd ask some experienced people first. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone know of a good site(s) besides this one to buy and sell used aftermarket parts for Maximas and Infinitis?

Thanks.

There's no way that that strut bar is actaully JDM.

It doesnt matter, they're pretty much all the same. Dont pay more than $50 for a strut bar.

Thanks for your reply. Let me tell you more about this possible purchase before I make it so you can tell me if you think it is a good idea or not in your opinion.

There is a front strut bar that's on eBay for $23 shipped. They say it is a brand new JDM front strut bar for a 95-99 Maxima/I30. The eBay item number is 2440636640. Is that a rip-off or is a good quality strut bar? Is it worth the $23?

Thanks again.

they just use JDM to make the item sound cool. In the end its just like any other ebay bar. Its not a rip off though

Cool, thanks. I'll go ahead and get it then.

Regarding installation: I am a complete amateur at mod'ing cars so is this something that I can do on my own? I mean, I'm pretty handy with putting stuff together and I like to do it, so is there some type of DIY instructions for installing these types of FSBs on the internet?

Will I need anymore parts besides this eBay FSB to install it? For example, bushings or some other type of cushioning washer parts?

thanks.

nope, all you need is a 14mm socket and ratchet. you may need a torque wrench because your supposed to torque the nuts down to 35 foot pounds but not necssary, just dont over tighten them

IF you've never modded your car before, it strut bar is the best first mod to do yourself. If you know how to unscrew a nut, you can put it on yourself. Just make sure that you install it on level ground. That's all.
