Any reason to go with a Nissan OEM Water Coolant Temp, vs. a Wells brand from autozon

e?

I ask because Nissan is not open on the weekend, and I want to get this bad boy sorted out tomorrow. I'm having cold morning chugging which I believe is due to a lean fuel mixture, and it sorts itself out within about 3 min of driving once the engine temp starts to get up (since an engine needs to run rich when cold, and a little leaner when warmed up).

Autozone for $24.99 has the sensor for my 2000 maxima. Can anybody say whether it's the same sensor as the nissan oem part? Wells part no is SU4072. I agree that OEM parts are better than buying something from autozone, but this strikes me as a very simple sensor (just changes its resistance as it warms/cools), and for all I know this is the same sensor that nissan uses OEM anyway!

Ideas? Thanks!

I doubt you'd have any trouble with the Wells... there ain't much to a water temp sensor

I wouldn't buy some other components like PCV valves (autozone carries Deutsch brand, and they don't fit right) or thermostats though... but a coolant temp sensor should be fine
