It's miles

In mixed driving, about 90% highway - i get 420-ish.

In City driving, mostly 2-5 mile drives majority of the time - i get about 300 or so.

Sounds about right Mike. Good stuff. I currently have 280 miles on the trip odometer, and have 75 miles until empty. This has been with 85-15 hwy-city driving this weekend.

Oops, most miles to a tank was 420 95-5 Wisconsin x-way driving.

Have you ever used a fuel additive and did it improve your fuel economy ?

Slight off topic, but I'm a BP man myself, but last time I had to use Shell fuels, and I actually got 330 city miles to the tank ! I usually struggle to get 300 the way I drive. This is quite interesting, anybody else get a freakish tank of gas from switching brands ??

Just the speed limit on which state i crossed at that time.

Ferbs02SMMax
I've never used any fuel additive since i got the Max. 99% of the time i go with Chevron 93. In some instances where i just can't find one - i go for what's there as long as it's "brand name".

In mostly city driving I get around 335-340 a tank. On the highway I have gotten 480+ on a long trip at about 70-75 mph.

I can't believe the numbers you guys are getting... I can barely break 320 on a tank of gas. I've never got any better. Maybe its the garbage gas we get out here... I do notice that my mpg goes up if I drive around 70 to 80 mph...

473 with 30+ left on dte. I got approximately 430 to 450 with 30+ left on the tank on the way back. Reduced mileage was due to accidents at the toll booths.

VQ30 is better on Gas then the VQ35. I've Owned them both. My 30 did about 450 miles the 35 does about 420 same distance, same driving patterns. If I drive 100% on the Hwy they are both about the same I think as long as you don't try to kill it

I think i got you all beat, well except soundmike.
I got 430miles on the tank with 70miles left on DTE, and get this, doing an average of 90mph from North Carolina to NYC.

I always get about 390 all city. I get 420miles when it's mixed driving. Never gotten worst than these.

815km (506miles) is the most I have been able to get out of one tank on my 2K2. This was 95% highway miles with the cruise control set at about 115km/h (71mph).

Purely by observation on my max (i.e. not scientific data), 90km/h (55mph) is the speed at which it seems to obtain it’s peak gas mileage. I have found that mileage goes down slightly as you increase speed up to about 115km/h, and at speeds faster than this it drops considerably. I have also found that other things that factor heavily into the mileage you can get are wind speed / direction, and the weather conditions (warmer seems to be better). I have not noticed a big difference with the A/C on or off as others have indicated.

I’d be willing to bet that with a full, topped up tank of gas, on a long trip with good weather conditions, setting the cruise at about 90km/h and driving until the max was running on fumes, I could get close to 600 miles on tank. However, I have yet to prove this theory as I have considerable trouble keeping my speed this low.

so you're saying I'm telling the truth about 440 but lying about my earlier post?
