Shock is Shot? Leaking Oil?

96 Maxima - 125,000k. Just notices a puddle of what appears to be oil under the right rear shock. Some (oil?) stains sprayed under the wheel well also. Going to assume the shock is shot. I have never attempted to replace shocks before, know nothing about them (other than it's leaking oil) and wondering about the level of difficulty of such a job. Found a site that sells KYB's for $72 each. (Absorber GR-2 L4000-58511). Are other parts needed?

Your recommendations are appreciated!

Dear Management:

I have searced and attempted to read the FAQ's. One link doesn't work and the other doesn't apply. Unable to find info on this specific subject. (Sorry to "bother" you. Will go elsewhere.)
