obx parts

To speed this up im planning on buy a y pipe for my car and i see this http://www.obxracingsports.com/perfo...=3&subcatID=22 which i think is the header and y-pipe together. If thats better than just a y pipe from budget or somethin than i shall go for that.. but im not to sure if its worth it. if you guys have any input on this it would be helpfull.
Thanx

if i were you, id just buy a budget y for 180.. and sre the rest of the money u save towards a MEVI.. headers dont do much on the max casue if you look, they are really short headers..

The obx headers for the maxima don't replace the stock y-pipe. They only replace the cast iron exhaust manifolds above the y-pipe. If you get these you will still need to order a y-pipe to replace the pre-cats. Cattman has a full header system that replaces the exhaust manifolds and the Y-pipe for $750.

if they dont replace the y pipe (as it looks like it does in the link) then do NOT get them--if in fact they are those small crappy things in the picture above DO NOT GET THEM!!--they have waste of money written all over them!

Thing is no one has these so how can you say they only replace the headers and not the y-pipe. Let him buy them, take a picture, post it and we'll tell you if they do anything. If they are just the upper tubes then you can just send them back. If, however it is the whole set up then install them and get dyno graphs...

i emailed the online store that sells it (sales@tuningdepot.com) and i was told that they didnt have any specs on the parts yet cause they werent given any by obx. I sent obx an email about some of the specs of the headers and or y pipe combo. Once i get back the info on it i will post it here for all to see, But i think that they might not even be ready for sale yet but this is what they may look like http://www.importshark.com/Products/...7L_Headers.jpg
I'm also on a tiburon forum cause i had planned to buy one of those before i got my max and i here nothin but great things about them. And from what i gather about OBX is that they sell the headers back to the cat wit most of their kits.
