Stock Rims Making Bumpy Ride

I still have the stock wheels and tires. I just recently started to notice that around 60-65 mph my steering wheel and car seem to shake slightly. As I accelerate to about hmm.......more then 65 the shaking goes away. Is it because I once hit a huge pot hole long ago? But how can this be? I just started to notice the shaking! I think i need rims and tires. FUDGE!

Make sure your tire pressure wasn't 45psi like mine was for months...

An out of balance tire usually only shows itself at specific speeds because it requires harmonic amplification to be noticable unless it is really bad.
I lost a balancing weight on one of mine a couple months ago and it did the exact same thing.
It might be something else, but I would get tires balanaced first.

sounds to me like he's trying to justify to the wifey/gf why he had to spend $3k on new wheels/tires instead of buying her a christmas present

it's out of balance, and make sure she never logs in to the .org !!!!!

...or justify it to himself!....It's cool to go to aftermarket rims, you don't need an excuse! But if you want to keep the stock rims, it definitely sounds like a balance problem

you either have to get them rebalanced or you bent a rim...
just get them balance and that will probably fix the problem
