Bumpstops and question about Tien/Koni

Right now I am running H&R's with Tokico's in the front and AGX in the back on my 2k. I tap, not crash, my rear bumpstops with a full load in Queens/LI when driving fast over undulations, however much less than stock. I figure cutting the rear bump stop 1.3" should pretty much eliminate this completely. Can I cut them without dissasembling the suspension?

I was thinking of running Tien Springs up front with koni inserts(externally adjustable). The H&R's are way to soft and do not drop enough in the front. I would keep the rear H&R/AGX's because I think the Tien compromise too much suspension travel and would probably cause "bunny hopping" over the speed bumps on Grand Central and snap oversteer coupled with my RSB. The H&R's/AGX, in my opinion, have the perfect spring rate for the beam axle anyway. The rear Koni inserts are not adjustable either.

Good idea or no?

Why not? His already mixing dampers....

As long as the springs are on different axels, mixing them is part of the mod game. You can tune the suspension for the ride/drop you want. There's nothing wrong with using different springs from front to rear.

Divisions, if your carefull you can cut the bump stop with a razor. Just make sure you don't scratch the piston or the shock will fail. When you cut the bump stop, cut two nubs off the top section. By doing that, you will no longer be able to put the cover back up on the notch it hangs from, but thats OK. It will be supported upwards by sitting on the shock and it will cover the piston once the car is lowered again.

Good luck!
