Well I have to admit... with the price being that much higher you might as well get the G35. They did make some good points.

I like my 6th gen, Just got a trenz grill and some eibachs put on and it looks 10x better. My girlfriend drives an 02 se auto and I like the car a lot but would still prefer to have my 04. thats just my opinion though.

I must say that I drove a 6th gen once and it was nice, but I still like my 5th gen better.

it has NOTHING to do with production in the US...

and they didn't say it was the ****tiest car of the year, they said it didn't live up to the hype... nissan is on tv all the time pushing maxima/altima/truck (what's it called?)... the altima lived up to the hype, the maxima did not. It's a nice car, just not what nissan was hoping it would be.

The magazine do have a good point about the Maxima has lost their "identity" as what a Maxima should be. I think Nissan really lost it when they probably over did the redesign and making it too much likeness to the Altima. I hope Nissan get slap in the face and go back to the drawing board to redo it and at least consider it a RWD platform.

Isn't it what 4-th gen people were saying when the 5th gen's came out?

Plus, did the author(s) of that article drive the car? Have they even sat in it??? I think it lives up to the expectations. I also don't think we should ever compare the Max to G35. Ever. G35 is RWD, Maxima is FWD. Period. Let's compare them to Avalons and Accords. Those don't even come close. And did I mention that Maximas are rare? I think that counts.

hello... the author is comparing the maxima against what nissan expected of the maxima, not against other cars.

even if (but they DID mention G35, right?), I think Maxima is faaar away from being one of "2004's most disappointing ride." It came out nice, big, and powerful. But that's just IMO
