Stainless Steel Brake Lines.......I Like Em!
Just installed my S.S. Brake lines (goodridge) from The Tire Rack.
Total line change over took 3 hours.
Some of the lines were rusted pretty bad, mostly on the front lines.
I found that it was best to break them loose with a vise grips first, then use a 10mm open end wrench. Seems the penetrating oil didn't help much.
One fitting I had to heat up with a torch, just a little.
Started the undercoating on fire.......sweet.
Also changed the front pads while I was in there.
Completely bleeded the system,which sould be done anyways.
Results: Much improved pedal feel.The lines took away about HALF of my brake pedal travel. It's that new car feeling again. I haven't gotten a chance to hit the brakes hard yet, as to the pads being new, but I will post later on how the panic stops go.
