i am sure this has been discussed before, in fact the is a similar thread on the same page, but he has a diffrent question. i need to know what is the perfect compromise between brightness, and a deep blue color. if it is a little lighter that is fine, it may match my dash better. i have been looking at ebay and there are many diffrent bulbs to chose from. i know i need 3mm, and 5mm, but i am not sure how much of each. can any one be of any help? thanks.

I am doing my window switches right now actually. I got 5mm ones. Just gonna drill the holes they slide in alittle bigger. I am doing white leds. I was gonna do the whole interior but I found out the bose has these super small leds that are flush mounted. I am tryin to find out if I need resistors in the window switches or not.

 

Try and get the highest mcd possible. I have 6000mcd blue in mine and they are very bright. White are available up to like 12000mcd or something.
Color is a matter of preference..
My tails have 7000mcd red LEDs

No Wayne, you dont need resistors in the windows because there are already resistors on the board. Anytime you are replacing a stock green LED, you don't need a resistor. Anytime you are replacing a stock incandescent bulb, you need a resistor...pretty simple

6000 mcd... cool. now what about the wavelength? I think it is called that.. you know, the deepness of the color. i want to get a blue similar of the blue on the "open door button" on PS2. thanks tony...
