Can 98 se auto w/y-pipe beat 98 se 5sp stock?
my neighboor is about to pick up a 98 se 5sp and was telling me we should race at a track to see whose faster...now the only major mod i have on my 98 se auto is y-pipe.....what would the out come be?
I got my money on the 5speed. With normal conditions an average driver will run a low 15. I don't think an auto with y can do any better than a 15.6. But anything's possible. If he screws up the launch then you might have a chance

i feel bad b/c i can't remember his name... a fellow org member ... sterling99sel i think... ran a 15.1 w/ a ypipe and a popcharger in an auto at rockingham... i was stock at the time and only beat him by a foot or two ... it will be close.
DNE had a track meet on 11/22. The 2 autos (96 & a 99) that ran had y-pipe/intake and only netted a 15.7 each.
My 5spd ran a 14.9 with intake and short shifter.
I have 2 dolla on the 5spd.
