Actually your the second ...but first to do it on the 97+ lights. BTW, did you use spray tint or regular window tint?

Neither... Unlike normal Red/clears those tails have no Lenses either...If you look closely at the first pic, you will notice that you can actually see the blinker and reverse bulbs in there. I just painted the inside of the housing black

Btw those pics are so nice and old, my OBX fartcannon isnt even on yet! just kidding, i wish my digi cam wasnt broken, i would go out and take pics and a sound clip now! I love my $200 exhaust!

Is he in the NE Sam?
Well I couldn't care less really if I'm the first, just wondering... I just like the look on a dark car, and hey, I'm a lil different now!

I don't think he tinted the lens, just painted the silver reflective part, so just the color of the bulbs shows cause the lens are clear

why yes we can. crappy part is that our lenses when you get a set of red/clears are not diamond cut per say like the 97-99's are. but here ya go.

and here's the write up by yours truely...

http://www.vqpower.com/v2/modules.ph...howpage&pid=66

Hey geo1317, did u do the red/clear yourself? Looks great!

When you do the DNE taillight mod, you take the orange and clear lenses out completely, correct? Don't those help to spread the light? Just wondering, because I am considering tackling this mod here pretty soon. Worried a little how it will look with reverse/blinker lights on. Pic anyone?

Thanks

yeah you take the orange piece out, and yes its there to spread out the light some more, but its really not that big of a difference and it looks cooler at night when it blinks

i guess tinting the tails would be a good fix for a mickey mouse red/clear mess job. otherwise red/clear all the way.
