KYB dustboot/GR'2.

I am attemping to put the boots on and I have a question.

Does the boot go all the way down until you can not go anymore, or are you suppose to stop and the begining of the shaft (just passed the gold piece on the bottom of the rod).

Thanks

Push the boot so that it goes under the little nub thing and zip tie the other end to the strut You can see the OEM dustboot here: http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/703 It should cover the piston from the little nub thing to the strut itself

It'll eventually work it's way all the way down.

So this is sorta related.... I put on GR2's and Progress springs first of September, so they've been on 3 months. I really like the combination (of course anything is an improvement over stock GXE), but I've been told that the GR2's will only last 6 months before "blowing out".

Has anyone else had GR2's fail in less than a couple years?

Does "blowing out" mean the upper seals go and leak oil, or do they just get softer and softer until they're useless?

I put the tie wrap right at the end or pull all the way down and then wrap?
