budget or warpspeed?

I'm about to get a y-pipe for my 2k 5spd max to go along with GAB and OSCAI setup i already have...however, i wanted to know if i should get budget or warpspeed y-pipe...budget performance charges $192 for the T-304 Stainless Steel, Mandrel Bent Y-pipe, shipping is included in the price....
warpspeed charges $200 for the aluminized steel one and $275 for stainless steel.
does anyone have any fitment issues with either of these y-pipes?
responses would be much appreciated

YES... with the warpspeed. It was banging on the cross member support under the car. I had to reconfigure the mounting bracket they supplied to make it fit so it wasn't banging on that cross member. A major PIA. No experience with Budget, but the problem with the warpspeed (which they haven't figures out yet) is the pipe bend off the rear exhaust manifold comes down to far. Cattman makes that bend real tight which calls for a shorter mounting bolt, and they have a welded supoport bracket that keeps the y-pipe and cat high enough off of the cross member so it doesn't bang. If you have the $ go with teh Cattman, my .02

I know search is down but you can just hit "next page" once or twice and find all the info you want... there are literally hundreds of threads on this exact topic if you take a minute to look.

???? he was talking about a Y-pipe, I got the warpspeed B-pipe and had no problem with that at all. Also after I installed my y-pipe and had the banging, I searched plenty about fitment issues and even posted a thread about it and nobody could help. I eventually figured it out for myself... so doing a search or fliping back through the threads doesn't always answer questions people have. My post to Mannys questions was a specific answer to his question. I hope this helps.

Hey you have any issues with the Budget B pipe, not fitting correctly. I put mine on about a month ago and had to add some rubber spacers on the b pipe hanger so that the pipe wouldn't hit hit the heat shield. Probably gonna have to change the hanger when it breaks, but at least it's not hitting for now. I also had to add washers to that little cross-member so the b-pipe didn't hang low and hit it. Once all the adjustments were done, I love the sound.

Kloogy,
Did not mean to say the others werent good and i know you like yours.
But Brian is perhaps the most class supplier weve got. And on average
his stuff is better quality than most.
They really gave you a ticket for the NY plate? Illinois is a two plate state, I have not had a front plate on any of my cars for over 20 years and have gotten away with it.

Yes I ticket for it....just a pesky cop.... The warpseed y pipe was a POS in my opinion. I burnt 2 o2 sensors, and it was not easy to get it to fit properly. I also had to remove some undercarraige braces to get the B pipe not to KLUNK..... You get what you pay for. I got a great deal from a local Org member, thats why I bought it. I would rather have a full Frankencar catback ...

Brian with Cattman is probably the classiest guy we have in the aftermarket (sorry Frankencar, you might be second), but unfortunately, that comes with a premium price. On a college (or any other poor) budget its much easier to swallow 15-220 for a y-pipe than it is to blow 300+.

That said, I would love a Cattman Y for my car above all others, but this Christmas will probably be purchasing a Budget due to budget and fitment issues with Warpspeed...

Because I have a 2k2 and Budget does not offer a Y pipe for the 3.5 yet-
And Cattman ypipes have had good reviews by org members

My response was to indicate that I had no major fitment issues w/ my b pipe
(they supplied the washers for the cross brace- thats what happens when u go fro 2.25" to a 2.5" system) On top of that it was all Stainless Steel not aluminized(warpspeed)

Seeing that many have had negative comments on warpspeed products, I figured I'd add my positive experience with Budget Performance

Ironlord-As far as Frankencar goes- their customer service sucks monkey *****- dont return messages/phone call/emails and you can expect delivery in a month or so- so I wouldnt consider them second to Cattman- thats too much of a compliment for a garage company
I own a Frankencar intake (bought from a meet for $120) and I consider the budget b the best mod I've added for the $$$

I have fitment issues with my y-pipe which is WSP and i want to replace it or just plain fix it. i had the SES light pop on about 200 miles after i installed then it turned itself off about a week later. i dont know what it was for but whatever. I think I am going to get rid of my ypipe and trade it in for headers. the only thing is that i am not sure about the Cat. i have to pass emissions so we will see what happens. right now i think i have an exhaust leak due to my y-pipe but no SES light. go figure

Well, I have the franken midpipe as well, but I purchased it before their service problems cropped up - cuz back when they first started their service was good. So, that's been my experience with frankencar. Personally, i liked berk better, but no one knows what happened there.
