What about the Altima 3.5SE?

I can't for the life of me figure out how those are more expensive than Maximas but they are. Do these cars have as many problems with theft of headlights as the Maximas do? Anything about the Altimas that is inferior?

Isn't that a novel idea. Do all Altimas have the HID's or are they an option on those cars?

Interior is definitely inferior. A friend's wife has a 2.5 SL with black leather. It's a nice car, but the interior feels cheap. Door panels are very basic looking and the instrument panel leaves me feeling like I am sitting in a toy car. I noticed more road noise in the Altima also. The Maxima is much nicer car inside even if it is just a little smaller in the back seat and doesn't have the IRS.

no....option on 3.5SE only and most of the HID equipped altimas came through the dealership lots fully loaded-meaning automatic climate, bose, HID, heated seats, etc...

It seems they are still banking on peoples' habit of paying more for the novelty then anything else. I drove the 3.5se, not a bad car, but the interior felt cheaper then the Max, I wasn't too crazy about the dash, looked like way too much plastic for my taste. It felt ok in terms of the ride itself, but I still wouldn't give up my Max for it.

OPTION like the new MAXIMAs ('04) no way of knowing what you are stealing.

Now I am looking at Acura 3.2TL's as well. You just can't get the bang for the buck that you can with the Altima though. I swear to god I will bolt those headlights to the body of the car if I have to.

Interior is the last thing I care for in a car. Still, when I checked out an altima last year thinking about buying new I just could not buy it. The interior was frankly offensive to me. The plastic they used for the steering wheel adjustments, for instance, was clearly taken from a junk yard.

Nice cars otherwise and the 3.5se is a fast buggar with the manual.

The 3.5SE is a great car in terms of power and handeling. But the interior looks very cheap. It is very plasticky and doesn't even compare to the maxima when it comes to interior styling. I think the exterior styling of the Altima is also geting a little old.

the altima looks like a smaller car.... does anyone know if the turning radius for this car is better than the max. I would think so, but does anyone feel a big difference. I went from a CAmry to a Maxima.... and I can tell you its a big difference, in the comfort of the ride, and the turning. I still love my cars though. V6 is the way to go.
