Hi, I and thinking of buying a 1996 GLE (loaded) with no defects in GREAT condition. You guys think 6 grand a fair price? The guy wants $6250 but it has el cheapo tires on it that need to be replaced so I'll offer him 6. Any opinions are welcome, thanks.

Yeah...sounds good but mileage will change everything..

 

Just for reference: I paid 6300 for my 96 gle a few months ago. Had 96,000 miles on it and was in great shape. Good luck and hope you enjoy your new max.

 

it's got 110,000 miles. I just learned the hood has been replaced due to a minor collision so I am gonna go have a mechanic look at it. I think I'll ofer him 5800 to cover the tires and the cost of the mechanic.

 

i bought my 96 gle with 108k miles for 5800 in july, had to replace alternator and battery (about $450) and just had all the brakes done (about $750) and i still need a knock sensor...so get the car checked out by a good mechanic

 

$5500 seams fair to me

 

I paid 6500 a month ago for my 97 SE w/107K and 5-speed with leather. No problems. Nick
